Our first wine-based site and we hope it’s not our last! It was hard not to think about which big red we were going to drink later that night, but we managed to keep focused on designing and building. We had fun working with this client who walked in to our office with an eclectic sense of jazz, art and wine for his site design.
P.S. We scored 3 bottles of wine!

Take your idea, and run with it. Or, let others run with it. Propose a concept or a chapter for a book here. Establish the genre, characters and plot. Work with other writers to develop the characters and story. (Or, not.) Then, expand your storyline. Explore countless permutations & possibilities as each new writer takes on a new chapter. But with the same story, style, and characters— only in a fresh voice. Or, contribute to somebody else’s work (current book) already in progress. Next, get help, give help, find ideas. Stuck on that ‘blank page’? You have someone to turn to. Advance and edit the development of your, or someone else’s, story in our Current Edit section. Finally, wrap it all up with a tidy ending: Go to press!

A bright and energetic group of talent, the Buckingham Interiors + Design studio and staff are located in the equally vibrant West Town neighborhood of Chicago. Led by Julia Buckingham, the team brings her signature style, Modernique®, to life designing interiors that are interesting, warm and curated; where old and new sit comfortably near high and low and where the “rare” helps punctuate the “real” in every room. Julia quietly creates interest in her interiors by choosing disparate objects. Those careful, artful and deliberate choices of accents and materials infuse life and interest into a BID interior. Julia’s interiors maneuver through multiple worlds at once, never colliding but happily residing together. BID offers a full range of design services for diverse and discerning clients around the world. The creative spirit is infectious, with design projects, fabrics, material selections and the latest curated finds being carefully considered in the creative mélange known as BID. The Studio’s work has been featured in leading publications, both in the US and abroad.
Brandon Sugarman was expected to try out for his high school varsity soccer team but faced a familiar issue – he’d outgrown his cleats, yet again !! Being a hoarder by nature, Brandon searched his closet for a pair that might just fit but his collection which dated back to 4th Grade didn’t hold the answer – he had no choice but to shop for yet another pair of $ 100+ cleats.
Then it hit him – what about all of the pairs he already had – he’d only worn most of them for a season: there must be loads of other kids out there who could use them ! And that was when Free-Kicks was born. This nonprofit aims to recycle cleats between kids in a sustainable and cost-effective way. Free-Kicks fundraising is used to meet the cost of postage and cleats distribution.
