Cook's Notes is designed with your privacy in mind. We believe your recipes and personal data belong to you — and only you.
What We Collect
Nothing. Cook's Notes does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to us or any third parties.
Your Data
All your recipes, shopping lists, and meal plans are stored:
- Locally on your device
- In your private iCloud account (if iCloud is enabled)
Your data never passes through our servers. We have no ability to access, read, or view your content.
iCloud Sync
If you have iCloud enabled, your data syncs across your devices using Apple's iCloud service. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is protected by Apple's privacy and security measures. We do not have access to your iCloud data.

Analytics and Tracking
Cook's Notes contains:
- No analytics
- No tracking
- No advertising
- No third-party SDKs
Camera and Photo Access
The app requests access to your camera and photo library solely to add images to your recipes. These images are stored only on your device and in your iCloud account. They are never uploaded to us or shared with anyone.
Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
