As of April 23 Version 4.2 of WordPress, named “Powell” in honor of jazz pianist Bud Powell, is available for download or update in any WordPress based website dashboard.
WordPress 4.2 supports a lot of new characters out-of-the-box, including native Chinese, Japanese, and Korean characters, musical and mathematical symbols, and hieroglyphs.
Another new feature is the option of switching between the installed themes previewing them in the Customizer. Also, WordPress 4.2 makes it possible to embed Tumblr.com and Kickstarter through pasting a link in editing window. Another neat feature is smoother and simpler plugin updates.
