Resumable Privacy Policy

Resumable (listed on the App Store as Resumable Recorder) is a voice memo app published by MicroComp LLC. We designed it so that we never collect your data. Your recordings and transcripts stay on your iPhone.

What Resumable does NOT do

  • Resumable does not create accounts.
  • Resumable does not require login.
  • Resumable does not transmit your recordings, transcripts, bookmarks, or any other data to our servers or to third parties. We do not operate any servers for the app.
  • Resumable does not include analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.
  • Resumable does not include advertising.
  • Resumable does not access your contacts, photos, calendar, or location.

What Resumable does

  • Microphone. Resumable uses the microphone only to record the voice memos you start or resume.
  • Background audio. Resumable uses background audio so an active recording keeps running when you leave the app or lock your iPhone, and so memo playback isn’t interrupted.
  • Speech recognition. Resumable uses Apple’s speech recognition frameworks to create transcripts on your device. Audio and transcript text are not sent to us or to any third party. On iOS 26, Apple may download an on-device speech model for your language before the first transcription.
  • Live Activities. While you record, Resumable shows a Live Activity on your Lock Screen with the memo’s status and controls. It stays on your device.
  • Local storage. Recordings, transcripts, bookmarks, bookmark notes, and folders are stored only in Resumable’s storage on your iPhone. They are included in your own iPhone backups (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) according to your backup settings. That is your backup, not ours, and MicroComp LLC cannot see or retrieve this content.
  • Sharing. When you choose to share a recording or transcript, iOS shows the standard share sheet and sends the item only to the destination you pick. What happens after that is governed by the app or service you shared to.

Third parties

  • Resumable uses no third-party services to process your data.
  • iOS may send standard crash reports to Apple if you have enabled analytics sharing in iOS Settings. Apple shares these with app developers only if you have also chosen to share with app developers. They do not contain your recordings or transcripts.

Children

  • Resumable does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
  • Because Resumable does not collect any personal data, it is designed to comply with COPPA, GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations by default.

Deleting your data

You control everything Resumable stores. Delete a memo in the app (it moves to Recently Deleted, where you can remove it permanently), or delete the app to remove all of its data from your iPhone. Copies in your own device backups follow your backup settings.
